About
Welcome to the blog and personal website of Phil Gons.
A little bit about me: I am
- a theologically conservative evangelical Christian who is committed to the essence of Reformed Protestantism,
- the providentially blessed husband of Shanna Nicole (Prigge) Gons and father of Elleana Eden Gons,
- a PhD Theology candidate at Bob Jones University working on my dissertation, and
- an employee of Logos Bible Software.
I hope you enjoy what you find here.

Hi, my friend, I would like to have more information in how to start my own web page. Can you give some tips, please.
Hope to see you guys soon. The baby is almost 8 mo. old and just started to crawl.
May the Lord keep blessing you.

Hi, David,
Nice to hear from you.
I’d be happy to give you some pointers. What exactly did you have in mind? A blog? A place to put photos? Both? Both in one? Do you want free, or are you willing to pay a little? I pay $10/year for my domain name (PhilGons.com) and $6 per month for my web hosting with Host Monster, but we put our pictures at Google’s Picasa for free.
If you want free, I’d suggest Blogger or WordPress and Picasa.
If you want your own domain name, you could perhaps use our hosting.
Let me know if you have questions!
Phil
Phil,
Good to stumble across your blog. According to the info above, you’re still working on your dissertation. (I thought you’d already completed it.) Is the topic still a taxonomy of Protestant/Evangelical views of justification? Also, if I might ask an insider, how far away is Logos from the full Mac version? I noticed that the alpha is available, but I’m a little wary of the possible bugs.
May the Lord bless your ministry with Logos!
In Christ,
Bob Gonzales
