Footnotes

  1. I stumbled across one out of a couple dozen that didn’t have selectable text. It appears that the vast majority do.
  2. They currently have a problem displaying superscripted text; an inch of blank space appears before every footnote.

Windows Live SkyDrive

For those of you who don’t have a website with access to FTP and have an occasional need to share with others large files too big for email, you may want to consider Windows Live SkyDrive. It’s free and easy to use and gives you 500MB of space, handling up to 50MB individual files. Gmail allows up to 20MB attachments, but anything beyond that can be difficult to share over the web.

SkyDrive gives you three types of storage: personal, shared, and public. You can create as many different folders as you want.

Baxter’s Reformed Pastor Audiobook: Free

The Reformed PastorThis month’s free audiobook from ChristianAudio.com is Richard Baxter’s classic The Reformed Pastor.

In his introduction, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” This charge from Acts 20:28 only is the beginning of a solemn and overarching task to be personally involved and disciple all of your congregants. Richard Baxter’s plea for shepherding his flock continues with a charge to pastors to verify their own spiritual walk and then walks them through various disciplines, strategies and goals to guide and instruct their congregation.

Don Garlington’s Commentary on Galatians—Free!

Don GarlingtonI just found out that Don Garlington‘s commentary on Galatians is available as a free PDF from the Paul Page. It appears to be his contribution to the forthcoming volume 11 of the revised EBC rather than his 2002 Galatians commentary or his revised 2004 commentary, since it has citations from sources in 2006. I’m not positive on this, but it seems fairly likely. Regardless of which one it is, it’s worth downloading for future reference. For those who aren’t aware: Garlington supports the essence of the new perspective.

HT: Matthew D. Montonini

Update: The Paul Page is rather sporadic. It took me numerous attempts before being able to access the page and the PDF. It appears they are upgrading their server software or having problems. In the meantime, you can download the PDF from my site.

Update 2: See my updated post Garlington’s Galatians Commentaries.

FREE Ebooks!

I just downloaded and installed 87 free ebooks. Bible Explorer is on track to pass e-Sword in the amount of free content available. They are releasing 20 new titles every month.
